Who do I notify if my child will not be attending School's Out at their scheduled time or attending on a normally non-scheduled day?
If your child is scheduled to attend School's Out as part of their regular schedule, but will not be going to School's Out that day, parents MUST:
- CALL CHILD'S SCHOOL'S OUT SITE phone number in advance and leave a message regarding their attendance or absence AND
- CALL OR SEND A NOTE TO THE SCHOOL OFFICE so that the child's teacher will be aware if they need to send the child on the bus or to School's Out.
If your child is not normally scheduled to attend School's Out on a particular day or time, but will be dropping in, parents MUST also follow steps above #1 (two days in advance of service) as well as step #2 (so that the School's Out Staff know to look for your child(ren) and the teacher will know not to send them home.

How does the program work on scheduled half /early dismissal days?
During half day/early dismissal days, parents must provide their child a lunch, as neither the school nor the School's Out program provide lunch for half/early dismissal days. School's Out will provide the child with an afternoon snack. There are no additional fees for Medford, Medford Lakes, and Shamong Township schools. (These fees have been included into your monthly payments). There is a fee of 2 coupons per child on half days for St. Mary's students. St. Mary's parents should notify their Site Supervisor 2 business days in advance of having their child attend. The school must be notified so that the child(ren) is not sent home on the bus.

What do I do on emergency late start / early dismissal of school?
School's Out will NOT be available to provide service in the event that the school has a late start or early dismissal due to emergency. Unpredictable emergency changes make it impossible for us to insure proper staffing availability for the program. We reserve the right to close School's Out early due to emergencies for the safety of the children and staff. Please monitor KYW 1060 AM radio, www.KYW1060.com or channel 19 to keep advised of emergency school closings.
