Summer Camps

Caring... Honesty... Respect... Responsibility...

We are proud to have our camps accredited by the American Camp Association, which means that we care enough to undergo a thorough (up to 300 standards) review of our operation — from staff qualifications and training to emergency management. American Camp Association collaborates with experts from the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Red Cross, and other youth-serving agencies to assure that current practices at our camp reflect the most up-to-date, research-based standards in camp operation. Camps and ACA form a partnership that promotes growth and fun in an environment committed to safety.

We recognize that our programs are only as good as the staff members who facilitate them, so finding and developing the right counselors is our highest priority. Your child will thrive under the watchful eyes of our carefully screened counselors who are trained to give the support and guidance children need to be safe and successful in the camp environment. Your child will gain self-confidence, try new things, and build lifelong friendships in a community where they feel like they belong.  Children are given the opportunity to improve their social skills, develop a sense of independence, practice healthy risk taking, and learn from positive adult role models like our counselors and directors, many of whom started as campers themselves.  Of course there is also the most important part of camp:  FUN!!!

It's all about power. Power can be intoxicating, exhilarating and addictive. But power, when abused, turns into bullying...and bullying hurts people, leaves lasting scars and can destroy lives.

"I remember my experiences at Matolly and am happy that my son is able to share in those experiences now. This was his first year, so he was a little nervous, but has already said he wants to come for two weeks next year. Keep up the good work."
 - Courtney (Mother of Ockanickon Camper)

“Jody counts down the days until next year’s camp as soon as she gets home.  She’ll make it a daily ritual to tell me, ‘307 days until camp!’ or ‘145 days until camp!’  This year has been her 7th or 8th summer at camp, and she has learned so much each time she comes home.  This summer especially, I noticed a big change.  She was much more responsible and mature than when she left.  She frequently hangs out with girls from the program, and I’m so happy for her.  Camp is definitely money well spent, for it has shaped, and will continue to shape her into a wonderful young woman.”
- Laura (Mother of Matollionequay Camper)

“My favorite thing about camp is as soon as Danny gets in the car after camp, the first words out of his mouth are, ‘MOM, I HAD SO MUCH FUN TODAY!’  That makes my day, knowing he is happy and safe.”
-Janice (Mother of Lake Stockwell Camper)
